The Three Mushrooms

The Three Mushrooms is currently in the beginning stages of development. This collective creation is about the transformative power of discomfort. We (Anna Morreale, Grace Vuckovic, Maryanna Chan and isi bhakhomen) believe that death is the most uncomfortable aspect of the human experience. Unlike humans, mushrooms have the incredible ability to grow on things that are decaying. What is it to “outgrow”? Is growing expanding or sinking? Can you shrink into growth? By moving through grief our mushroom characters learn how to feel again. Their connection, as fruiting bodies, reminds us that there is a chance to overcome the feelings of helplessness in a world that is constantly at risk of diminishing.
